Hi Guys,

Just want to throw this topic up here:

I have been noticing the server has not had the success of the other patches - which is to be expected with the holiday season and such. At this point I want to add a bunch of other maps back into the rotation and see where it goes.

Anyone opposed to this? Please reply before Thurs evening with thoughts, concerns, ideas. The SC loves hearing outside opinion and ideas.

Cheers -

I also think EA has really screwed over server owners with the no idle/seeding they implemented a couple of weeks ago.

Before we consider adding more maps, I want to throw out a counter-point that we reduce the maps to just the Final Stand maps at least for a couple weeks. When I have been playing I have noticed that when we are on a Final Stand Map and the vote map comes up and it results in some of the older maps there are grumbles from the pubbers complaining about the old maps being in rotation. I think a lot of people would like to just play the new maps exclusively for a little bit more time.

I think the other issue with not keeping the server full is that we all need to make a little commitment (myself included) to jump on during the prime gaming time of 4 - 7 PM and help get the server going. If we can get it going during this prime time the server will usually stay occupied through the middle of the night. I know that for some of us there are a lot of other new games that recently came out (COD, Dragon Age, Far Cry, etc) that are keeping us from committing time to play BF4. But i think if more of us are willing to get on during this prime time and commit to playing at least one roundwith a couple others we can get the server going.

I know that our friends in Dirty Guns are able to keep their Final Stand exclusive server well populated but they are also putting in the effort to get the server started each day.

I second Coconut's point above about the idle kick issue which has hurt us in getting the server started.

If the rest of the group decides to add more maps I will fully support the decision to do so.

Let the slaughtering continue...

Changing the server maps to Final Stand Only for the next couple of weeks and adding popular maps soon after would be a good idea.

Secondly, Our core group of BF4 players has dwindled down next to nothing. We're lucky to have at least 4 members playing BF4 on any given weeknight. Either we recruit more active BF4 players or have our current members who are playing other games dedicate more time doing their civic duty each night. If we can't get the "Numbers" then we shouldn't waste any $ on an empty server.
